An art director by trade, Melody began her career at BBDO as a college intern, after producing her very first ad for M&M’S “minis” – she has been hooked ever since.

Throughout her 20+ years in the industry, Melody has been responsible for shaping numerous brands across 360 platforms at various agencies. She has been instrumental in serving as creative leadership on brands including HomeGoods, Marshalls and T.J.Maxx, BMW, NetJets, Dell, Six Flags, John Frieda, Jergens, Lancôme, Citibank, Beech-Nut and L'Oréal to name a few.

Outside of the agency life, Melody is also the co-founder of Curly Girl Collective. As creators of CURLFEST® — the world’s largest natural beauty festival, the company’s mission is to build a global community that educates, celebrates, and connects women of color with naturally curly hair. Creating a platform which gives a voice to a historically under represented community, in doing so her company serves as change agents, contributing to shifting and redefining societies definition of the beauty standard.

Melody is a Brooklyn native, constantly seeking ways to challenge the norm and identify new outlets to express her creativity.
